The March Update
Hello and welcome to March, Friends of Easy Does It,
Our Team has been quite busy helping a growing number of clients from all over Alameda County live independently. We are pleased to announce that it is time for our first Community Meeting of 2025, and we hope to hear your feedback regarding our work then. We are also getting closer to another Easy Does it Day in 2025 announcement and would like your feedback regarding our future events. Finally, we have an update to share regarding the expansion of our Repair Program.
Our First Community Meeting of 2025

It is once again time for us to host our Bi-Annual Community Meeting. We are committed to continuing to listen to and act upon feedback provided by the community we serve. We look forward to hearing about your positive and negative experiences with our agency over the past six months on April 17th at 5:30 pm. We will be hosting the meeting on our new webinar platform, which will require you to provide an e-mail address to receive your unique meeting link. We hope to see you then.
Register to AttendEasy Does It Day’s Menu

Easy Does It Day in 2025: Three Decades of Dedication is getting closer. This means we are less than a month away from announcing this year's menu and prizes. This year, our Program Manager, Ayanna, and Communications Coordinator, Trevor, will collaborate on a fresh menu for attendees. With a combined 10 years of experience in commercial kitchens and a passion for fresh, flavorful eats; this year’s menu promises to be better than anything we could get through a caterer. Be sure to reserve your free ticket now so you can join us for our 30th anniversary. We look forward to sharing more details with you on April 7th.
Register to AttendFree Hospital Beds Available

We currently have a used power hospital bed that we would like to make available to the community. One of our clients also has a power hospital bed that is being replaced but is still in working order. If you or someone you know could benefit from one of these hospital beds, please reach out to our Repair Coordinator, Levan, to inquire about availability and set up a time to receive the equipment. If you can pick the bed up yourself that is always appreciated.

Thanks for attending our Repair as You Choose Workshop with Cal’s Disabled Students Program

A huge thank you to those who attended our second Wheelchair Repair Workshop of the year. Our Repair Team was pleased to be available to offer free support to the community we serve. We were even able to donate one of our power wheelchairs to a UC Berkeley Professor whose wheelchair was not reparable.
Coming Soon to Richmond, Albany, and El Cerrito
A huge thank you to everyone who chose to donate funds for the expansion of our Wheelchair Repair Program to Richmond, Albany, and El Cerrito. We anticipate that we will be ready to welcome new wheelchair repair clients from these 3 cities at the beginning of May. Over the past couple of years, we have been able to bring repair services to five additional cities through grants and your direct support. Moving forward, we intend to focus on ensuring our repair team can continue to provide fast, high-quality care despite increased demand.
