What's on the Agenda

We're pleased to once again be able to share updated regarding the continued expansion of our Wheelchair Repair Program, this time we're preparing to bring service to Richmond and El Cerrito. We're also sharing changes to our masking policy, and updates regarding our backup power chair donations.

  • Thanks to direct donations from the community and support from the Bay Area News Group, we have raised enough money to offer Wheelchair Repair Services in Richmond and El Cerrito. We're hard at work preparing internally to receive clients from these communities and will open our doors to them in the coming months.
  • Due to the fact the majority of our clients don't wish to mask on service calls, we're making wearing masks optional for our drivers so long as the client is comfortable with them not masking up. If clients want our drivers to wear a mask during their transportation calls, all they need to do is ask dispatch prior. We're seeking feedback on this change.
  • Our repair team is moving forward with distributing backup power chairs to clients that are willing to replace the chairs batteries. Due to the popularity of this effort, there's still much to be done to ensure everyone who's interested gets access to a backup chair.
