with someone who can conduct your eligibility interview and help you complete your application.
Once the process is complete, you will be given a certification number which you will need for your BerkeleyRides for Seniors & The Disabled Program application (Step 2).
Step 2 – Apply for the Berkeley Rides for Seniors & The Disabled Program.
Please apply for this program by visiting www.cityofberkeley.info/berkeleyrides.
You can also complete the application by calling the City of Berkeley Senior Center at (510) 981-7269. (Due to Covid-19, their offices are closed.) Someone will send you an application by mail and answer any questions you may have about completing the process.
With either method, please be sure to include your Certification Number from East Bay Paratransit. Once your application has been processed, you will be sent an approval letter and van vouchers by mail.
Riders get 12 free van vouchers during each mailing period in December, April, and August.
Please note: It takes up to 2 weeks for processing and approval.
Now you are ready to use our Demand Response Rides service! When our van arrives at your home, present a voucher to your driver instead of cash or check.
