Oakland Residents: The Center for Independent Living is your new Repair Provider starting October 1st

A reminder that starting on October 1st, Easy Does It Emergency Services will no longer be accepting Wheelchair Repair Calls from Oakland residents, as we have exhausted our funding for the service. This was not an easy decision to make, and we apologize for any impact this will have on you.

The Center for Independent Living (the CIL) is providing wheelchair repair service for Oakland residents. Everyone who is interested in maintaining wheelchair repair service in Oakland should actively support the CIL to obtain funding, which will support their wheelchair repair services. For wheelchair repair service from the CIL, please call: 510-841-4776

Modernizing our Tech Stack

For years, Easy Does It has hoped to continue modernizing our agency. The rebrand, updated website, and online applications have done lots to improve upon how the community can utilize our services. As we head into 2026, we're hoping to tackle more challenges facing our tech stack. Potentially empowering us to implement online booking as well as bill payments and we're interested in hearing your thoughts about this initiative.
