The December Update
Hello, friends of Easy Does it,
As another year of empowering seniors and persons with disabilities to live as they choose draws to a close, our team is enjoying some much-needed time off to connect with friends and family and to celebrate the season. We have some updates to share regarding our modernization efforts, as well as our last events of the year with the South Berkeley Senior Center and The Center for Independent Living.
Join us at the Center for Independent Living’s Holiday Market
The Center for Independent Living is hosting a festive Holiday Market at the Ed Roberts Campus on Thursday, December 18, from 5:00–8:00 PM. This indoor, community-focused event will feature holiday shopping, cozy drinks, and plenty of seasonal cheer.

Monthly Modernization Update
We’ve hit our first major roadblock in regard to improving the location of our current office and wheelchair repair shop, every building that’s available in The City of Berkeley is outside of our budget! But we aren’t letting that stop us from realizing our vision for a better EDI. We’re going to continue sharing our monthly progress and eventually we will identify a new location for our office activities.
We Can’t Relocate, So Let’s Renovate
We’re going to have to stick it out at our current location, so our team is rolling up their sleeves and giving our space some much needed TLC. In December, we upgraded and relocated our entire IT network rack, painted three rooms with the official Easy Does It Color Palette and replaced aging flooring to make our existing space feel welcoming and quieter. We’ll continue working to modernize our repair shop to make it a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
Customer Relationship Management Reimagined
A CRM is a piece of database software most modern businesses rely on to keep track of their many commitments to clients. Whenever you reach out to us for services, we rely on our CRM to securely store and relay information regarding your case to a team member who can help. The problem is that our current CRM provider is failing to live up to the team's needs, while also preventing us from implementing features like online booking and bill pay. So, we’re exploring if we can replace our current CRM with one that we can afford to use properly and works as advertised.
While a lot of what this CRM affects happens behind the scenes, just know that with a better CRM, we’ll be able to efficiently provide care to more clients and integrate it with our website to deliver features you’ve been asking about for years.
