Easy Does It Emergency Services (EDI) has signed a contract with the City of Albany to give free round-trip rides to seniors and people with disabilities who are residents of the City of Albany and attending Covid-19 vaccination appointments at the Golden Gate Fields Covid-19 vaccination site.
This service is available seven days a week and features lift-equipped vans that accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Rides are obtained by calling EDI’s Urgent Dispatch line at (510) 704-2111 after a vaccination appointment has been made through the vaccine provider Curative Inc.’s web portal.
EDI’s contract with the City of Albany provides this service for people 60+ years of age and anyone with physical disabilities, though it’s important to note that the Golden Gate Fields vaccination site may only be serving specific age groups at this time.
EDI also provides rides for seniors and people with disabilities who are residents of the City of Berkeley and attending Covid-19 vaccination appointments within the city. There is a $15 round-trip fee for this service which is facilitated through our Rescue Rides Program.
EDI has partnered with both the City of Albany and The City of Berkeley to provide these low-and-no-cost services to ease the burden of transportation for vulnerable populations seeking the Covid-19 vaccination.
