Welcoming Rodney to the repair team

We’re incredibly excited to announce that Easy Does It is once again totally capable of handling your equipment repairs. We just added a new repair tech to our team, Rodney. Rodney has been with EDI for years and is quite excited to dive into this new role. Prior to working with EDI Rodney worked as a mechanic for years and is anxious to apply his expertise to wheelchair repair. We’re totally confident they can tackle any repair challenge you send our way.
As always we’re proud to be able to offer our services to Berkeley residents for little/no cost. In the event your chair breaks down while you’re out and about, our FASTER program is available to all North Alameda county residents. At this time we do not have the capacity to serve residents in the Dublin/Pleasanton area. The cost of labor is greatly subsidized for most of our clientele and our collection of used/donated parts enables us to service most problems without needing to purchase parts. Regardless of what type of wheelchair you own replacing any part will be quite expensive, but more often than not, the part you need is no longer being manufactured. Which makes our collection essential to being able to provide cost-effective repairs to Berkeley residents.
We also have the capacity to restore drained batteries. One of the most common/expensive jobs that need to be done is the replacement of a chair’s SLA batteries, which have a lifespan of 12-24 months. Although we can’t make batteries last forever, we’re typically able to strangle a few more months of use out of cells that would have otherwise been
rendered worthless. So if you find yourself stranded in Alameda county, rest assured the repair team at Easy Does It is more than equipped to help!
