The February Update

News Post

by Trevor Jacobson | Feb 16, 2023 | Monthly Newsletter

Welcome to February, Everyone!

The year is starting strong at Easy Does It. We have been busy adapting to leadership changes while providing quality care for our clients. We want to thank everyone for staying on top of their co-payments; although we receive funding from the city and ACTC, we rely on co-payments to provide our attendants with fair wages and benefits. Thank you for your support!

In 2023, we are continuing to provide the essential services that empower our clientele to live independently while focusing on new ventures and ideas that can further improve our operations.

Welcoming Rick and Lavan to the Team

Repair Techs Rick and Lavan standing behind the wheelchair workbench EDI rely's on for repairs. Both are smiling and facing the camera, in the background, various toolboxes and a powerchair.

We are excited to welcome two new members to Easy Does It's Team. Lavan will be taking over as our Repair and Transportation Program Manager. Rick is starting as a Repair Technician. Lavan has extensive experience working with power chairs and other assistive devices. They have only been here a week but are already busy attending to multiple power chairs needing repairs.

Black History Month

Black History Month is an annual celebration of the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. This year’s theme for Black History Month is Black Resistance. The teaching of Black History has been legally banned in seven U.S. States. Making it more important than ever to recognize the challenges we face in 2023.

First Community Meeting of 2023, April 18th

We are excited to announce our first Community Meeting of 2023, which will take place on April 18th. This will also be our first hybrid meeting. Our team will continue to wear KN-95s around our clients, and we encourage attendees to do the same. You can register to join the zoom call if you wish to attend the meeting remotely.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing some of you in person for the first time in several years!

Thanks for your service, John

Unfortunately, we have a departure to announce. John has been with Easy Does It for almost a year, and we are sad to see him leave. He will be leaving the Bay to pursue other ventures in Southern California. John brought great energy to his role and the team. His passion for our community and expertise in wheelchair repair will be sorely missed. Thanks for everything, John, and best of luck in your future endeavors!

Another Co-payment update

We want to thank everyone for calling in to settle any outstanding co-payment balances you may have. Times are tough, so we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to get caught up on your bill. Timely co-payments ensure that we can continue to provide quality service to you and quality pay & benefits for our team.

We have also trained Rich & Beth to take your payments over the phone. We will continue to train our team to use the new payment system to ensure that making your co-payments can be as effortless as possible.

That is all we have for you in February. Thank you for supporting our work. We are excited to continue striving to improve Easy Does It so that you can continue to feel confident in turning to us for emergency care.
