Happy New Year, Friends of Easy Does It!

We are excited to head into another year of serving the community. 2022 was an incredibly challenging, yet rewarding, time for us all. Another year of COVID meant our team had to continue going to great lengths to keep the community safe. But we didn’t let that stop us from providing care and being innovative. Last year, we introduced an updated brand, website, and contact-less card payments to bring our operations up to speed with the times.

In 2023, we are continuing to provide the essential services that empower our clientele to live independently while focusing on new ventures and ideas that can further improve our operations.

Thanks for your Service, Michele.

We are saddened to announce that our Executive Director, Michele Blackwell, is leaving Easy Does It to pursue other ventures in the non-profit world. Michele started with Easy Does It weeks after we went into lock down in 2020. Despite unprecedented challenges, her work and leadership allowed us to continue serving the community.

Easy Does It’s Board of Directors is currently finding a suitable replacement to oversee the agency. Bruce Curtis will be serving as our Interim Executive Director. Please feel free to contact him if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks for your commitment to Independent Living, Michele - we wish you success in your future endeavors!

Paying your Bill Online

Thank you for bearing with us as we update our methods for accepting co-payments. The easiest way to pay your bill with Easy Does It is to keep an eye out for your invoice; you should receive it via email shortly after your service call. The invoice email contains a link for you to pay the bill online. Intuit is responsible for processing our payments. It is a safe, secure, and effortless way to stay on top of your bill.

We encourage you to call our office to arrange payment if you need help with the invoice links. Please be aware that, at this time, only our accountant, Maggie, can accept credit cards over the phone. In the future, we plan to implement a payment portal where you can manage your account balance online and mobile card readers that allow attendants to take payment at the time of service.

Weathering the Polar Vortex

We hope everyone managed to stay dry this month; the record-breaking winter storms inundated Berkeley and the Bay Area with torrential downpours, mudslides, sinkholes, downed trees, and other damage. But that didn’t stop our attendants, drivers, and repair techs from serving the community. Our team ensured that our clients received the assistance they needed despite the dangerous weather the region was experiencing.

That’s all we have for you in January. Thank you for your support of Easy Does It. We understand that these past few years have been challenging, but we remain committed to the community our agency was founded to serve, and we look forward to better realizing those goals in the coming months.
